Project diary
Real sites. Real machinery. Work worth sharing.
Short, honest write-ups of jobs we've done — what the site was like, what we brought, how it went. Every story is published with the owner's say-so, and locations are only shown when approved.

Field notes
The kind of work the gear does, day to day.
Full project stories are published here once the site owner has given the nod. Until then, a few notes from recent days on the tools. No client names, no addresses.

Vegetation clearing — excavator with hydraulic grab loading the tipper
Thick regrowth and stumps taken out by the root with the grab, loaded straight into the tipper and carted away. One machine, one truck, one visit.

Service trench along a fence line
A narrow bucket on the U17-3 keeps the trench tidy and the spoil in a single windrow, so backfilling is quick once the pipe's in.

Hillside earthworks and drainage
Cutting a level pad on a slope and shaping the fall for drainage before the slab goes down.

Block cleared and ready for the next trade
Cleared, levelled, loose material removed — handed over ready for the fencer or the builder.

Stump and root removal, loaded out by tipper
Stumps grubbed out, root balls shaken clean and loaded for disposal. The tipper means nothing sits in a pile on your lawn.

Skid steer loaded for transport
Getting the machine to site is part of the quote, not an afterthought.

Levelling a hilltop building pad
An elevated block with a long view over the suburbs and coastline. The U17-3 levels the pad ready for the build.

Drainage trench through rocky ground
Rock and clay under the surface, a wide pipe to bed in. The trench is cut to grade, the pipe laid, and the spoil kept to one side for backfill.

Garden bed stripped out beside the house
Established shrubs lifted out by the roots in a narrow strip between house and fence — tidier and quicker than digging them out by hand.

Straight service trench across a backyard
A clean, narrow trench from the house to the back of the block with the trencher. Minimal disturbance to the lawn, easy to backfill and re-turf.

Footing excavation for retaining works
Deep footings cut along a boundary on a sloping block, trenches lined and ready for the steel and concrete to follow.

Block stripped and levelled
Grass, roots and loose material taken off and the ground levelled out — handed over as a clean, even surface for whatever comes next.
