How we work
A small outfit, deliberately.
J & B is an owner-operated machinery hire business. Wet hire — the machine together with one of us operating it — is what we do most, because it's the simplest way for most people to get a job done well. Dry hire is there for the people who'd rather run the machine themselves.
The fleet is compact on purpose: a Kubota U17-3 excavator, a Toyota Huski 5 skid steer and an Isuzu tipper, plus the augers, buckets, ripper, grab, trencher and spreader bar that make them useful. We also slash, remove material and collect from landscaping suppliers.

There's no sales desk. The person who takes your call is the person who turns up with the machine.

Access, ground, attachments and transport all change what a job costs. We quote the real job.

Our gear, maintained by us
A small fleet we know well: the Kubota, the Huski and the tipper, with the attachments listed for each.
